Services
Bromwell's sells hundreds of fireplace appliances each year. We also provide consultation, installation and maintenance services for all products we represent. Fireplace business has changed and evolved into a huge multifaceted industry with a number of different technologies and myriads of options over the past several decades.
Vented Gas Log Sets & Burners
Vented gas log set is the first technology that comes into one's mind when converting an existing masonry or pre-fabricated wood burning fireplace to gas as it is the most realistic looking option of the three and the one that offers the most options and choices of style and size.
Vent Free Gas Log Sets & Burners
Vent free technology is the most efficient of the three options one can use in an existing masonry or pre-fabricated wood burning fireplace. It also gives one the total control over the damper position. Despite the common misconception, vent free log sets can be used as purely vent free (without a damper or with a damper closed), partially vented or fully vented.
Wood Burning Fireplaces
If you do not have an existing wood burning fireplace and wish to have one, pre-fabricated wood burning fireplaces of varying sizes would be a great alternative to conventional masonry ones at a much better price point. New clean looking radiant wood burning fireplaces can be finished in such a way that it would be hard to distinguish it from a masonry fireplace.
High-Efficiency Systems
High-efficiency wood burning fireplace technology is probably one of the best fireplace industry has to offer. Nothing compares to the ambiance and feel of a real wood burning fire, which unfortunately comes at the expense of low heat production and high level of emissions. Wood burning stoves and inserts offer very high heat output and air circulation ability, but the viewing area of the fire is not very impressive.
Wood Burning Inserts
A fireplace insert is basically a stove without legs that is placed into an existing wood burning fireplace. Essentially all fireplace inserts whether they be gas, pellet or wood burning are self contained units that can be installed in virtually any wood burning fireplaces and made to increase their efficiency without having to convert them to gas.
Pellet Inserts
Pellet burning appliances are very popular among people who value efficiency, high heat output and "green" fire. Venting configuration of the pellet burning insert is very similar to that of the wood burning insert. It consists of flexible and/or rigid components, runs through the existing flue all the way up to the very top of the chimney and terminates with a cap.
Electric Fireplaces
The current generation of electric fireplaces is remarkably realistic; requiring no venting, they can be installed nearly anywhere since only access to an electrical outlet is required. Electric fireplaces are very popular for apartments, condos, and bedrooms. They are a great alternative to homeowners without gas service to their homes and/or for people who simply want to have an "easy" fire with or without heat production.
Firepits & Fireurns
Firepit is probably the first "tamed" fire known to mankind. Firepits served many purposes: cooking, heating, lighting and protecting from wild animals. In the modern world they are an ultimate symbol of luxury, style and ambiance. Firepits are probably the most versatile fire feature in existence.
