Plumbing Repair
Evaluating a plumber in Athens or contractor of any sort in Clarke County can be a very simple task nowadays. There are a number of websites and resources which one can utilize to "get the scoop" on local plumbers in the area. Below is a short guide on how to make the best selection for your plumbing service or other home improvement contractor this spring and summer.
Leaks and pressure Reducing Valves
Do you have a leaky faucet or water heater? Hearing banging pipes in the walls or vibrating noises when you run the water? It might be because of high water pressure! Water supply pressure from the city is often too high for plumbing fixtures to operate. Because of this a pressure reducing valve should be installed in your home between the water connection and the home, usually in a crawl space or where the water heater is installed.
Water line replacements
Do you suspect your water main is leaking? Give us a call for a free inspection and estimate! Homes built in the 60's, 70's and 80's used galvanized metal or copper pipe for the water main line to the home. Over time the metal oxidizes and can develop leaks. We repair leaks first before recommending a water line replacement.
Toilet Repair
Its easy to take the magical porcelain chair that makes poo go away for granted. Toilets often work for dozens of years without problems. Over time and use the inner seals and valves of a toilet begin to wear and can cause a leak or just flush weakly. If Your toilet is not flushing right, running all the time, leaking, or just making strange noises, give us a call to repair, replace, or unclog it!
