Watervliet Fruit Exchange

Established in 1940, Watervliet Fruit Exchange has served Southwest Michigan's agricultural community for over eight decades. Our business began as a cooperative for local fruit farmers and has evolved into a comprehensive country store offering farm supplies, home and garden products, and specialty goods. We maintain a commitment to personalized service while providing modern solutions for farmers, gardeners, and hobbyists. Our staff combines decades of practical experience with product expertise to meet diverse customer needs. We specialize in wild bird seeds, fertilizers, animal feeds, and beekeeping supplies, alongside a curated selection of local crafts and seasonal produce.

Our facility includes cold and dry storage rental options for commercial clients. Through rebuilding after a 1945 fire and continuous adaptation to industry changes, we've preserved our historic identity while expanding our offerings. Today, we remain the sole surviving fruit exchange from the original regional group, proudly reintroducing our historic product label on specialty food items. Our location at 7821 Red Arrow Highway has been our home since 1946, serving as a trusted resource for both large-scale operations and small hobby farms. We maintain strong community ties through partnerships with local artisans and agricultural producers.
