Urban Ecosystems
Our aim is to seamlessly fuse the living world with architecture and the human experience. The new knoll at Becketwood. This historic Minneapolis property is converting 6 acres of turf grass into a complex of meadows, clover lawns, and gardens. This 21st century landscape will create new forms of habitat, improve water and carbon footprints, while reducing maintenance inputs and achieving a return on investment.

Dr. Mark Seely presented @roomandboard with an MCAP (MN Climate Adaptation Partnership) award for the #urbanmeadow at their central campus. We are so proud to be a partner with this forward looking company. The #urbanmeadow is a designed plant community that creates hyper pollinator habitat, increases rainwater retention, increases carbon sequestration, reduces water footprints, doesn't require fertilizer or pesticides, and greatly reduces fossil-fuel based maintenance. It looks great too!.
