The criteria that a plant needed to meet were: multiple seasons of interest; low maintenance; a wide range of climate conditions; good pest and disease resistance; availability of the plant in the year that it was chosen.

Tree Peonies are woody perennial shrubs. They bloom at the beginning of May before the herbaceous peony bloom. Their woody structure allows them to produce gigantic dinner-plate-sized flowers on plants that grow from 3 to 5 feet tall. After the bloom, tree peonies provide structure to the garden with deep green leaves in summer and bronze and purple foliage in fall.

I will be taking orders as they come in. Limited supply, so when they are sold out I will not be able to get more. I will not hold them any longer than the 26th. Decide now where to plant them. They arrive bare root and that is how you will receive them. Minimum of 3 eyes. I have been purchasing bare root peonies from this company for the past 15 years and they are always high quality and freshly dug.
