The new management is great. They helped me with identifying the cause of an issue with my propane fireplace, found the right part for me, and provided great guidance in talking me through how to replace it myself. If I had to wait for a service technician, it would have been hundreds more in cost and several more cold weeks of waiting.

CONFUSED ABOUT NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON YELP AND ELSEWHERE. I FOUND OUT THIS BUSINESS IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT .ANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS WERE CLEARLY MADE PREVIOUS TO THIS CREW TAKING OVER! I needed someone quickly to repair my gas fireplace (used to supplement heat in my home)and AE fit me into their schedule. Person on the phone was friendly and compassionate.
Dylan was by far the best repair/service/representative that I have run into in my 35 years as a home owner. He was patient and explained my system to me ( this is newly purchased home) and I finally know the how to and what about the system

Great Service, had a fireplace insert installed by Stan, Dillon, and Mike. On time, explained what they were doing, gave a detail explanation on how to use the fireplace insert. Kevin was the initial contact, he is a very knowledgeable person to do business with. I would definitely recommend them for any fireplace needs.

Zero customer service. I purchased a $3000 Regency Stove. The handle on the "modern" style door becomes too hot to touch. A serious design flaw. When I contacted Alternative Energy they told me to remove the handle from its stub and only put it on when opening the door. Aside from the fact that this is a dangerous "solution", the handle didn't come off. It is hanging loosely now. Their subsequent solution was that I spend another $300 for a whole different style door. They refused to even contemplate selling me a different handle. Avoid them.
