At dB Hearing Center, we understand that hearing loss is an extremely personal journey. There are a myriad of emotions, fears, and concerns that occur when a person comes to get their hearing checked. It takes about 7-10 years for a person to notice they even have a hearing loss, many times, friends and family members notice first.
Hearing loss is gradual, losing subdual sounds first like the sound of your turn signal or the beeping of the microwave. This is a journey that we will take together one step at a time. The interview process helps our practice determine the extent of your hearing impairment and aids us in uncovering any specific areas requiring further attention. Hearing Aid Dispensing & Fitting

Once you have selected your hearing aids after an evaluation, we will program them to meet your hearing needs, based on a prescription. It is also a good idea to bring family members or close friends to the hearing aid fitting so they can help remember all the information that is given and be a support to you.

Your hearing specialist at dB Hearing Center will take a detailed case history regarding your hearing health. We may ask such questions as, "How long have you been experiencing difficulty with your hearing?" or "What is your most difficult listening environment?" Your answers will provide valuable background information.

I hated the idea of wearing a hearing aid, but my hearing loss was becoming a problem at work and at home. I kept asking people to repeat, or I missed the conversation entirely. My speech recognition was declining, and I was afraid I would loose it permanently. So I reluctantly decided to meet with Dawn Bowerman to see what a hearing aid could offer. She let me try a demo hearing aid, with no obligation. Besides getting the device customized for me, she worked through my emotional reluctance to wearing a hearing aid; she was so patient and took all the time I needed. I don't think I could have

I wasn’t anticipating needing hearing aids, but when I did need them, I’m glad I went to db hearing. Dawn is a consummate professional and truly cares about her patients. Her office is warm and inviting and she always greets me with a smile. I could not be happier with my experiences going here. Dawn helped me through every step of getting hearing aids and answered any questions I could have thought of. Because of Dawn, I can now hear the sounds of nature I didn’t know I was missing. I’m grateful for Dawn for giving me back a piece of my life.

I've had single sided deafness for over 35 years and have hearing loss in the other ear. I've also been to 4 other hearing professionals on the W and E coasts over the past 12 years and Dawn is the very best!. She knows her craft, has the most pleasant, thoughtful demeanor you could hope for and clearly cares about her patients. Dawn fit me with a cross talk system and life is so much improved. I am so glad I went to dB Hearing Center.

I think Dawn is a very good person to handle the hard of hearing and the deaf. I am half deaf and my cousin got my husband and I to go to see if there was any help for me. We had given up. All three of us entered Dawn's office and she asked me a lot of questions and then took a pair of Demo hearing aids and programed them from what I told her . She put them in my ears and I COULD HEAR PEOPLE TALK. When I left her office I had a nice pair of demo hearing aid with the remote on the top of the hearing aids and I hear a bird chirp and have come to life again. She is such a positive person and kind
