Who We Are
Report
In the 1970s, with an eye toward supporting his family and exploiting his rock climbing skills, my father, Channing, decided to pioneer a profession well established in England, though virtually unknown across the Atlantic Ocean in New England. As the Mt. Washington Valley's first full service chimney company, the Chimney Man has been delivering reliable service at a reliably affordable price for decades.
Cleaning, Lining, Caps & Installations
Report
We realize that no one wants to think about winter in May, but the earlier you get your chimney serviced the better-and you'll save money because our summer rate is considerably cheaper. In general, we recommend an annual service for folks burning two or more cords in a season.
Masonry and Watersealing
Report
Like any part of your home that's exposed to the elements, things decay over time. Usually the culprit is water: moisture infiltrates your masonry, freezes, then thaws, and then freezes some more. This process causes masonry to crack and deteriorate. Most of what we do involves repairing this damage.
Rope Access Odd Jobs and Wedding Blessings
Report
With several decades of technical rock climbing and ropes experience under our belts, we've become the "go-to" guys for many of our customers when it comes to replacing weather-vanes, maintaining church steeples, removing bird's nests, painting roofs, rescuing cats from trees, and one hundred other strange and unusual odd-jobs that involve high places and tricky access.
