After many years of frustration because my husband refused to get help for his hearing it was almost impossible to have any kind of conversation. Very pleasant and professional experience. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. Doctor that administered the test was very courteous and addressed all questions and concerns. Clear understandable instructions were provided to me to complete the different phases of the hearing test.

I had a great experience at Hearken Audiology in Kirksville. Dr. Pettit took the time to explain things so I could make an informed decision regarding my hearing challenges. I felt no pressure to make a decision and was given options to consider. I felt comfortable with his expertise and confident in my choices. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, I felt at ease with each of them, plus I felt comfortable in their ability to assist me. The Hearken Hearing & Audiology people are very amiable. I went to a discount hearing aid department at a large wholesale club and the lady there was not able to get a good audiology test and told me to go to a Doctor of Audiology to get a valid test. I told Dr. Pettit’s office that I wanted to get a test to take to the hearing aid department of the wholesale club. They gave me the same great treatment as they would give a buyer of their hearing aids. Dr. Pettit gave me some very valuable advice in regard to things to consider when buying hearing aids.

Dr. Petty and his staff at Hearken Hearing & Audiology are thorough and supportive. The office environment is welcoming, clean, and has cutting edge equipment to evaluate the patient.
Dr. Petty took time to discuss and show me how my ears were responding to sounds and what I needed to do for the future. There was no pressure to purchase unneeded equipment.
I´ll go back in two years for a re-evaluation. I highly recommend Hearken Hearing & Audiology.

We have been there twice. The doctor did a great job with my hyper 8 year old and his nonstop questions. Appointments have been easy to get and the staff have been very helpful dealing with weird insurance situations and working with the other providers involved.

Very thorough examination and friendly staff.
Greeted upon entry and a free gift of local honey with a nice card.
Explained the procedure and various models and costs. Had pricing options from Budget to top of the line for hearing aids.
Took advantage of a free hearing test during an open house in May 2019.
Ordered hearing aids for my Dad so we will see.
So far, I would highly recommend this office for your hearing needs.
They did have water and snacks and pillows available as well for comfort.
Impressive to say the least.
