Flower stems are made of cells that provide support to the plant, and move nutrients and water.
If a stem bends without breaking off completely the flower may be able to survive if enough cells survive and continue to transport nutrients. Taping a broken stem, or if needed, adding a splint, may provide enough structure to keep the plant going. Use strong florist tape, or you can even try with strong clear tape like this and continue to enjoy your gorgeous blooms!
