We spend many hours of our day inside spaces, living, working, relaxing, and/or playing! These spaces shouldn't just exist, they need to be well thought out and professionally designed to meet your needs and nourish your soul. Every project goes through two main parts. In the 'Programming Phase' of Part I, the project is born.
We listen to our clients; note their needs & requirements as well as their likes and dislikes and come back with an estimated timeline and budget. In the 'Schematic Phase', we design! It is time for mood boards, color palettes, sketches, schematics, and ideas to flow. We propose different layouts for the space and begin looking at finishes such as flooring material, wall covering options, paint, countertops, and so forth.
Once we agree on a design direction, we move forward to the 'Design Development Phase'. Now it is time to further develop the floor plans and begin furniture selection and budget preparation. This essentially ends Part I. Part II of the process is when things really start to get exciting!

2014 was a turning point in my life-where I left behind a career in Medical Physics and pursued a long life passion of mine and joined the world of design. The MFA-Interior Environments program at VCU arts helped make this dream a reality. Since graduation I have worked in several design and architecture firms both locally and internationally.
