Owner and president Mark Fitzgerald was inspired to start Canalfront Builders after years of experience in helping two companies grow to be powerhouse builders.

Mark grew up in a contractor family outside of Annapolis, Maryland, so he was raised around the construction business. After graduating from the University of Maryland, he started his career in 1996 with Ryan Homes as a Superintendent, where his professionalism and capabilities were quickly recognized, advancing him into a Costing Manager role and later Production Manager and then General Manager.
