I had my air condition unit serviced by a company about a year or so ago. I was charged $300. However, after about two weeks, when I got home from work, it had gone out again. I was reluctant to call the technician back because I was afraid it would cost me another $300 or more. In the meantime, I never took my large window unit out of the window and it came in handy for backup. I went the remainder of the summer using my window unit.
